1. RGSD will host the Boundary Realignment Committee Meeting at Danforth Elementary on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 6pm. The purpose of the Boundary Realignment Committee Meeting is to review the 2 boundary line proposals, as well as the idea of reconfiguring the remaining elementary schools from K-5 buildings to KG-2nd and 3rd-5th grade buildings. Come share your voice as RGSD plans the future of RGSD and helps to redraw the district boundaries.

3. All RGSD schools will host Parent Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, Oct. 22 and Thursday, Oct. 23. These conferences are your chance to connect with your child’s teacher and to learn about their academic performance. Contact your child’s teacher(s) to set up your appointment!
4. Attendance Matters Every Day! Make sure your children attend school each and every day. In addition to helping them to perform better academically, excellent attendance is needed to help RGSD regain full accreditation.

Four students from Westview Middle School got a unique opportunity to learn from professional golfers during the APGA Daugherty Foundation Championship Youth Golf Clinic, held Oct. 1 at the historic Glen Echo Country Club.Students practiced putting, driving, and short-game techniques while also hearing from golfers about discipline, perseverance, and the importance of diversity in sports.
