Give Me 10 Health Fair

First responders across the Greater St. Louis region and RGSD residents, parents, staff and community members can receive free, fast prostate cancer screenings and health assessments on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, at Central Middle School. The health fair will take place from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

Hosted by The Empowerment Network, Inc. (TEN), the "Give Me 10!" First Responders and Community Health Fair and Prostate Cancer Screening Event is the first regional health fair specifically dedicated to police officers, firefighters and EMS personnel. However, the event is also open to the public and the RGSD community is encouraged to attend.

Participants are encouraged to register in advance.

Services Provided

  • Free PSA Blood Testing: A fast Prostate-Specific Antigen blood draw that takes about 10 minutes.

  • Metabolic Testing: On-site health screenings.

  • Medical Consultations: One-on-one health education from regional medical professionals.

  • Community Resources: Health and wellness support materials for first responders and their families.

Why Screening Matters Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men during their lifetime, with Black men facing an increased risk of 1 in 6 and roughly double the mortality rate. Demanding shift work and occupational stresses frequently lead first responders to postpone routine medical checkups.

"Every day our first responders answer the call to protect others," said Moline Acres Police Chief Ja-Maal Davis. "This health fair is our opportunity to answer the call for them by promoting wellness, early detection and healthy careers."

"Access is everything in preventive care," said Dr. Kendra Holmes, President and CEO of Affinia Healthcare. "When we bring free screenings directly to the people who need them, we catch disease earlier and save lives."
