1. On Friday, April 3, the RGSD School District will be closed for all staff and students for our Wellness Day. Schools and the district office will resume normal operations on Monday, April 5. Enjoy your extended weekend!
2. Riverview Gardens High School will host Project Manhood, its third annual all-male summit, on Thursday, April 2 from 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Riverview Gardens High School.
The event will bring together men in the school district, community leaders, community partners and other positive male role models to help educate, inform and empower young men. 3.RGSD is now enrolling new Kindergarten students for the 2026–2027 school year!

4. As we move into the spring semester, the Riverview Gardens School District is preparing for the annual Missouri Assessment Program (MAP). These assessments, which include both Grade-Level Assessments (GLA) for our younger scholars and the End-of-Course (EOC) exams for our older students, are designed to measure academic progress and proficiency.
Grades 3-8 (Grade-Level Assessments testing window is Monday, April 13 - Friday, May 8.
High School & Specific Courses (End-of-Course Assessments) testing window is Monday, March 23 - Friday, April 10. (Make-ups: May 1 - May 14).

5. Congratulations to the RGSD Science Olympiad winners! RGSD’s best and brightest scientific minds came together to present their science experiments on March 25. Congrats to:

6. Congratulations to the RGSD Districtwide Teacher of the Year, Valerie Turner from Highland Elementary School. Turner was honored at the March 24 Board of Education meeting. Turner was selected by her peers as the Highland Teacher of the Year. Next she was selected as the districtwide Teacher of the Year by the Professional Development Committee. Turner also serves as the president of the RGNEA. Congratulations on a well-deserved award and keep up the great work in shaping the minds of RGSD students.
