Riverview Gardens School District is being recognized for a remarkable academic turnaround. A new report from Solution Tree highlights a nearly 19% increase in overall performance over the last three years. (Check with Dr. Hunter on 22%)
With the partnership with Solution Tree, RGSD implemented common formative assessments, created guiding coalitions and trained teams to analyze data weekly.
As a result of this partnership, the district’s Annual Performance Report (APR) score by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education rose from 49.9% in 2023 to 59.2% in 2025. Total performance points also grew from 61.4% to 69.5% during that same period. That score placed the district just ½ point short of scoring in the fully accredited range.
Solution Tree specializes in professional development and publishing educational material for K-12 educators. It helps schools strengthen their professional learning communities in order to enhance the ability to read and analyze data to improve learning.

The district’s continuous improvement score, which tracks the effectiveness of planning and evaluation, remained high at 93.3%.
RGSD’s staff have embraced the work of improving its professional learning communities and have improved learning by elevating expectations and performance.
Individual schools within the district have reflected this work through the following honors:
Moline Elementary, Gibson Elementary and Glasgow Elementary were named Promising Practices schools by Solution Tree for consistent growth in Math and English Language Arts.
Glasgow Elementary School received a 2026 Louie Award for its outstanding academic growth in English Language Arts.
RGSD continues to show tremendous growth as the district continues to strive to regain full accreditation.
