What an incredible past Saturday for the Highland Huskies! Both our boys’ and girls’ teams dominated their games, keeping their undefeated streak alive. The girls powered through to a perfect 3-0 record, while the boys celebrated an impressive 4-0 run.
A huge shoutout to our amazing cheerleaders, whose energy and spirit kept everyone inspired and motivated throughout the day!
Special thanks to our dedicated coaches: Coach Blair and Coach Hicks for their leadership of both basketball teams, and Coach Simpson for guiding our cheerleaders with passion and commitment.

The 6th-grade scholars and teachers at Central Middle School closed out the second semester in style with an epic end-of-year “White Party” celebration! Field Day 2026 at Glasgow Elementary School was an absolute blast! Our incredible Cheetahs spent the day soaking up the sun, laughing and showing off their amazing school spirit with an epic line-up of outdoor fun! 🏟🎈
From soaring high in the bouncy houses to going all-out in classic games of tug-of-war and duck-duck-goose, the energy on the field was unmatched. Scholars and staff enjoyed the laid-back, joyful vibes all day long. We kept our hard-playing Cheetahs fueled up and smiling with freshly grilled hot dogs and ice-cold snow cones.🌭🍧

We are absolutely thrilled to honor Riverview Gardens High School senior Jayla C. as a May 12 BOE Riverview Excellence honoree!🎉 Jayla was chosen as a recipient of the prestigious 2026 Women Legislators of Missouri Scholarship. For the application, Jayla wrote a powerful 500-word essay addressing what she would look to accomplish as a state legislator. Her insightful vision earned her a $2,000 scholarship! Jayla is one of only 40 high school seniors in the state selected for this honor based on her outstanding leadership, top-tier academics and dedicated community service.👌🏾

🏛️ On April 13, Jayla was officially recognized at the Missouri Supreme Court.

🤖⚙️ A Tradition of Excellence: Celebrating CMS Robotics! ⚙️🤖
We are incredibly proud to recognize Central Middle School’s Robotics Team and CMS Business Education Instructor and Robotics Coach, Cheryl Howard, as our May 12 BOE Riverview Excellence honorees!!🥳
Since 2019, CMS has been a powerhouse in the Clavius Project Competition —a STEM outreach program initiated by St. Louis University High School to bring robotics and coding to local schools. This team has built a legacy of success, securing platinum-level placement for the past four years, alongside winning the prestigious Janet Knobbe-Viox Judges Award in 2024 for their perseverance and student-led leadership.
The winning streak continued this school year! At the Clavius Project competition on February 28th:
🏆 CMS Students earned "Platinum Level" recognition once again—the highest honor achievable!
🥇 Ms. Cheryl Howard was presented with the Educator's Award, recognizing her for establishing a fun, creative, and hands-on learning environment.
Their impact goes far beyond the classroom. The CMS Robotics Team is deeply active in our community and recently showed up big for The View at Laura's Run in Tower Grove Park!😎
