We will be celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on January 20, the official holiday honoring his legacy. In tribute to his contributions, the NCCU hosted an Oratory Contest, with 95 students and adults across the St. Louis region submitted essays. From these, 12 finalists were selected to present on January 4, 2025 which included two from the Riverview Gardens School District!
Congratulations to Mrs. White-Hilliard, Social Studies Educator, and Choyce Irving, 8th-grade student at Central Middle School, for their outstanding achievement. Their efforts reflect the spirit of progress and perseverance that Dr. King envisioned for the future.
Mrs. White-Hilliard will represent our district at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration at St. Louis Community College - Florissant Valley on January 21 at 6 PM in the Terry M. Fischer Theatre.
Congratulations again to Mrs. White-Hilliard and Choyce Irving!
