RGSD will welcome a new director to the Board of Education. Voters re-elected Sharon Titsworth (26%) and Jacqueline S. Jackson (23.2%) to serve three-year terms on the Board of Education. Voters also elected Melvin Williams (23.2%) to join the BOE.
The board members will be sworn in at the conclusion of the board meeting on Tuesday, April 14.

Novel Engineering at Koch Elementary!
The Koch Elementary School Cougars believe that stories shouldn't just stay on the page—they should inspire action! Once a month, their classrooms dive into Novel Engineering, a unique program that brings literacy and STEM together. Instead of a traditional book report, their students become engineers. They read a story, identify a specific problem a character is facing and then use the Engineering Design Process to build a real-world solution.
Why do they do it:
Critical Thinking: Students analyze text to find hidden challenges.
Hands-on Problem Solving: Using recycled materials and classroom kits, they build physical prototypes.
