Riverview Gardens School District will return to in-person instruction on Wednesday, January 28. All schools will operate on a Late Start Wednesday schedule.
Although road conditions have improved, First Student has been instructed to take extra care when picking up and transporting students. We thank families for their patience as drivers work to safely serve all assigned bus stops.
Students are asked to arrive at their bus stops a few minutes early and remain a few minutes past the scheduled pick-up time, as buses will be traveling more slowly to navigate neighborhood roads safely.
As a reminder, students must submit all assigned work from AMI (virtual learning) days in order to be counted as present. Completed AMI work should be turned in on the first day students return to in-person instruction. This is the only way students can be marked present for virtual learning days.
Special thanks to our families who make sure their students attended classes virtually, and completed their assignments. If we are to provide our students with every opportunity to be successful, we must work together as a team. Please make sure that all assignments are returned on Wednesday, January 28.
With extremely cold temperatures expected to continue in the coming weeks, please be sure your child is dressed appropriately for winter weather on school days. If your child is in need of a coat or other winter clothing, please contact your school’s front office. The district has community partnerships in place and may be able to assist.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
Respectfully,
Dr. Tanya Patton
Superintendent
