The C&I Department is accepting applications for Summer Curriculum Writers for Related Arts. All interested staff must submit an application by the April 15th deadline. 2021 Summer Curriculum Writing Preferred Requirements: - knowledge of Understanding by Design - familiarity with Missouri Learning Standards - knowledge of research-based instructional strategies - knowledge of designing aligned lesson and unit plans - knowledge of developing formative, summative, and performance-based assessments To be paid at $25hr June 10-22 Monday-Friday 9:00 - 2:00 Develop Stage 1 for Art, Music and PE/Health Stage 1 Task(s) to be completed for each Unit Write an overarching framework for Art, Music and PE/ Health Design a Scope and Sequence for Art, Music and PE/Health Develop stage 1 for all units -transfer goals, -essential questions -enduring understandings -acquisition

Abena Bradley-Madkins, a Spanish teacher at Riverview Gardens High School has been named a 2020 Excellence in Teaching honoree by Emerson. She is one of 100 St. Louis area instructors honored by Emerson for their accomplishments and dedication to students and the teaching profession.

Shannon Ebron is not just a St. Louis native, registered dietician, and remarkable professional who made a career move in the midst of perhaps the most vulnerable moment of our century. She is also a hero paving the way for how kids, especially Black youth, are nurtured through food in schools, during a global pandemic, national racial justice movement, and beyond. No wonder she earned a Hero Spotlight from the Chef Ann Foundation and Danone North America.
