Key Items for Discussion:
Renaissance Freckle Science/Social Studies
Freckle is a part of the Renaissance platform. We currently use Freckle ELA and Math. It is recommended that the SAB approve Renaissance Freckle Science/Social Studies not to exceed the amount of $55,205. This school year, principals are requesting that we add the content areas for Science and Social Studies.
Retirees as Permanent Substitute Teachers
In order to fill some of the teacher vacancies in the Riverview Gardens School District, we would like to extend the offer to RGSD retirees to come back and work as permanent substitute teachers through June 30, 2025. The district would offer retirees 75% of their last salary plus benefits.
Frontline/Aesop Upgrade
It is recommended that the Special Administrative Board approve the Professional Services Proposal for $1,575.00 to upgrade the Frontline Aesop system to increase efficiency with absence management.
Volunteer Agreement - Extracurricular/Co-Curricular Activities
This agreement would allow non-certified hourly employees to agree to serve as a volunteer for a nominal fee. The nominal fee will be based on the stipend amount approved by the SAB in the Extracurricular Activities and Co-Curricular Activities Standard Operating Procedures Manual.
ACE Learning Centers Agreement
The recommendation is that the Special Administrative Board accept the contract with ACE Learning Centers for alternative education services for the 2022-2023 school term in the amount not to exceed $1,237,500.00.
