The primary purpose of the communications office is to shape RGSD’s internal and external reputation through: students and staff engagement, parent communication, public relations and media relations. The communications office is committed to providing consistent, accurate and timely information to all stakeholders.

The Communications Office uses the following tools to share information with stakeholders:
Parent/Staff Notification System
The communications office uses an automated email and phone system to share important announcements, including school closures, district news and emergency information. Stakeholders can update their information by calling 314-869-2502.
The Communications Office manages three social media pages that feature important announcements, stories and photos and videos.
Facebook: Riverview Gardens School District
The communications office emails a newsletter to parents, staff and community members each month Sept. through May.
The communications office manages websites for all 13 schools in the district and a website for the district. While the district website is the primary hub for information, each school website features unique content, including school calendars, contact information and school announcements.
Press Releases/Media Alerts
When appropriate, the communications office emails press releases or media alerts to highlight important information regarding the district.
Special Administrative Board Meetings
Typically, the SAB holds public meetings on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. The 7:00 p.m. meetings are held at the RGSD Central Office, which is located at 1370 Northumberland Dr., St. Louis, MO 63137. Complete audio recordings and agendas from each public meeting can be accessed through the BoardDocs tab on the homepage of the district website.
