About RGSD

Riverview Gardens School District serves students, parents and community members in Riverview, Bellefontaine Neighbors, Moline Acres, Castle Point, Glasgow Village, Dellwood, Ferguson, Jennings and Unincorporated North St. Louis County. RGSD values meeting the academic, social and emotional needs of all students by offering a wide range of learning opportunities, extra-curricular activities and specialized programs.

RGSD is home to 13 schools, which serve approximately 5,700 students. Committed to providing excellent programs prior to kindergarten, RGSD is also home to the Michelle Obama Early Childhood Academic Center, which is accredited and licensed in the state of Missouri. Each year, RGSD students matriculate to excellent colleges, universities and trade schools with the skills to compete in an ever-changing world. Students from the class of 2018 were awarded more than $3 million in scholarships. RGSD students are also prepared to immediately enter the workforce.

Recognized for its dedication to creating an innovative learning environment that fits the unique needs of its students and their families, RGSD has become a national leader in addressing the challenges facing urban school districts. Recent awards and honors for the district and its educators include: the International Center for Leadership in Education (ICLE) Model School award, Emerson YMCA Community Hero award and Bayer Excellence in Education award. Additionally, in 2018, nine RGSD educators, more than any other district in Missouri, were nominated for national LifeChanger of the Year awards.

Today, RGSD students, educators and parents continue to strive to be a community of dynamic learners and leaders with a commitment to demonstrating social and civic responsibility. http://www.rgsd.k12.mo.us/
